INVITE: NIPV/COLLARIS2: Share your views on BVLOS and autonomous drone operations

Share your views on BVLOS and autonomous drone operations.

Are you involved in drone operations, public safety, emergency management, or civil protection?

We invite you to complete a short survey on BVLOS and autonomous drone operations.

The results will be used to develop two online COLLARIS2 workshops:

📅 30 July 2026 | 13:00–14.30
📅 25 August 2026 | 15:00–16.30

If you are interested in participating in one or both workshops, you can register directly through the survey.

At the end of the survey, you will have the opportunity to provide your email address so that we can send you an invitation and further details.

Survey duration: approximately 5 minutes

👉 Please complete the survey by Friday 24 July 2026:

INVITE: CARMA Foresight Study: Invitation to participate and to further distribute an online survey

The EU project CARMA (www.carmarobots.eu) is launching a new foresight study on the Future of Field Robotics in Emergency Response, aimed at exploring how the development and deployment of robotic systems for emergency response may be shaped by different future conditions. The goal is to identify strategic actions and measures that could be considered in the coming years, in order to support the development of more resilient and future-ready robotic technologies.

The first stage of this foresight study consists of an online survey. We are seeking input from professionals with diverse areas of expertise, spanning technological, institutional, economic, social, environmental, and regulatory dimensions that may influence the evolution of field robotics in emergency response contexts. Direct experience with robotics or emergency response is not required, as the aim of this first stage is to gather a broad range of perspectives.  After an analysis of the results there will be a shorter follow-up survey as the second stage of the foresight exercise. A workshop is also foreseen.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could take the time to complete this first survey:
https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/9ae5c0f9-ee14-e0b9-8d0e-14b719b591b1
It should take approximately 20–30 minutes, and the introduction provides further context about the study and its goals. For convenience, the survey is available in several languages besides Engilsh: German, Greek, Spanish, French, Portugese.

Deadline for responses: 20 July.

Your contribution is extremely valuable and will directly support the foresight activities within CARMA.

We would also greatly appreciate it if you would help to distribute this call for survey participation in relevant circles as broadly as possible.

Thank you very much for your time and support!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the lead of the study, Artur Gonçalves from INESC-ID (e-mail: arturgoncalves25@tecnico.ulisboa.pt)

Community

The Robot Response Alliance is a non-profit foundation that unites first responders, researchers, and technology innovators who share one mission: to enhance safety and operational effectiveness through robotics, drones, and smart sensing solutions that support and protect those in the field.

Our members come from fire services, police, rescue organisations, universities, and industry. They all contribute their unique expertise and experiences from the field.

Within this growing network, we exchange knowledge, test technologies, and learn from real-life missions and pilot deployments. The Alliance acts as a trusted bridge between those who develop technology and those who rely on it in critical, high risk situations.

Whether you are a firefighter testing a reconnaissance robot, a developer working on autonomous systems, or a policymaker shaping the future of emergency response, the community is open to you.

Join the Alliance. Share insights, share experiences, and help build the future of robotic response.

Solutions

The Robot Response Alliance connects real operational needs with cutting-edge technological solutions, always prioritising the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of first responders.

Within the Alliance, we explore and promote a wide range of robotics and digital tools that support first responders. From drones, ground robots, and underwater drones to sensor networks, decision-support systems, and training platforms.

Every solution in our ecosystem is designed with one goal in mind: to improve situational awareness, reduce risk, and increase the efficiency of emergency response.

Together with our partners, we test and validate these technologies in real-life scenarios. From industrial fires and hazardous material incidents to search-and-rescue operations and complex disaster environments.

The Alliance doesn’t sell products; we build bridges between users and developers, ensuring that innovation is meaningful, reliable, and field-proven.

Explore the technologies shaping the future of robotic response and discover how they can strengthen your mission.
